THE MAGIC OF FROGTASTIC – Celebrating 9 Years & 15,000 visitors – Wed April 22nd

Manchester’s Most Unique Club Night is about to celebrate 9 successful years and 15,000 Reasons to be Cheerful…

Manchester’s premier Club Night for people with a learning disability and their friends will celebrate the arrival of its 15,000th visitor on Wednesday 22nd April 2015.

Frogtastic, is a nationally recognised, multi award winning club night that was established in 2006 by The Heroes Project, an arts based development charity specialising in the provision of opportunities and socially inclusive experiences for people who may otherwise miss out or be denied.

Staged at Manchester’s famous Frog & Bucket on Oldham Street, (a venue more known for comedy than clubbing) Frogtastic boasts an enviable reputation and continues to grow in popularity, attracting people from across Greater Manchester, the wider North West region and beyond.

Alongside the DJ’s and dancing, Frogtastic has become equally known for providing high quality entertainments including TV Stars, Boy Band Members, X-factor Finalists and award winning Tribute Artists who remain a hugely popular attraction for attendees. The club night also provides a fantastic platform for the ongoing support and development of DJ’s, entertainers and performers from the world of disability arts.

Heroes Project Founder Terry Snowden MBE said “Frogtastic has become well established as a firm favourite for people with a wide range of differing abilities and combined needs. We continue to be both astounded and delighted at the sustained popularity and valued reputation of this little club night. As well as welcoming clubbers from across Greater Manchester we have also been delighted to receive visitors from Blackpool, Chester, Stoke, Liverpool, Preston and even people from as far as London and Brighton”.

Frogtastic is also celebrating nine fantastic years of inclusive clubbing and its organisers are determined to maintain the appeal and attraction of one of the UK’s best known inclusive club nights. “We shall buy a big cake to celebrate on April 22nd but I doubt the fire regulations will stretch to 15,000 candles” joked Terry

There are just a handful of tickets still available for the next Frogtastic Club Night on Wednesday 22nd April at The Frog & Bucket on Oldham Street.

Note to Editors:
The Heroes Project provides a range of initiatives that promote inclusion and provide social engagement and development opportunities for people with a wide range of differing abilities and combined needs with a specific focus on supporting those with a learning disability.

In 2008, the club night and venue received a national Positive Action Award following the safe evacuation of 200 clubbers, caught up in the chaos of the Rangers Football riots, when a screen showing live coverage of the UEFA Cup Final in the city centre failed.
